Update: Man with outstanding warrants on the run from cops

Update: Maricopa Police reported they gave up the search after an hour scouring the neighborhood. They did not offer a name or description of the subject.

Maricopa Police Department is looking for a suspect who fled on foot in the area of Smith-Enke and Porter roads.

MPD had been called by Adult Probation to pick up the individual at a house on Colby Drive. He was wanted on outstanding warrants for nonviolent offenses. However, when police went to the home he ran away.

At this time, the neighbors are not considered to be in danger. Police are not asking for the public’s help in finding him but do ask residents to stay out of the way of the responding officers and let them work as they canvass the area.

If anyone does see anyone exhibiting suspicious behavior, such as climbing over walls, they are asked to call 911 and report it.
