Westbound I-10 restrictions starting tomorrow

Westbound Interstate 10 will experience nightly lane restrictions from the Gila River bridge to Riggs Road starting tomorrow.

Traffic will be narrowed to a single lane overnight – beginning at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6 and ending at 5 a.m. on Friday, June 9.

In addition, the I-10 westbound Riggs Road on-ramp and off-ramp will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Thursday, June 8 through Friday, June 9.

Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to allocate additional travel time and exercise caution while merging and reducing speed around work zones.

These restrictions are part of the I-10 Pavement Improvement Project, specifically targeting the section between Riggs Road and the Gila River Bridges, according to ADOT.

The project aims to enhance safety, improve driving conditions, and extend the lifespan of the pavement.
